Deck Envy!

The problem with spending your morning looking at Decking Sprayers and editing videos, is that you wander off on a quick websearch of garden decks, and then spend your tea break wondering how you can make your own garden so lovely!

Here are some beautiful garden decks, just so you can see what I mean:

A good way to spend a hour daydreaming, especially if you are snowed in.

And for when the dreams turn into plans, and job lists, remember you can buy your deck   sprayer from us!

All Change! Trade Shows & Expos cancel, reschedule and move…

It seems it’s all change for Landscape, Amenity & Horticulture shows as they change dates, venues or even cancel altogether for 2013.

The Landscape Show Have moved from Olympia in March to Battersea Park in September, with a decent exhibitor list already confirmed. TradeshowBadge300

Also running in September, Glee returns to a Sunday-Tuesday format at the NEC, in response to exhibitor and attendees opinion. Again there is  a decent exhibitor list confirmed but we have found the show shrinking in size year on year, making us question the viability of time out of the business compared to cost of attending. A puzzle for later in the year!

Meanwhile, as reported on Landscape Juice forum back in the Autumn, British Association of Landscape Industries has cancelled their BALI two-day trade show because of the sliding economy. This show is in it’s infancy with just two years behind it, perhaps starting up as the economy was slowing down? The organisers predict a return in 2014, but are there just too many shows and expos?

If your business offering is Gardening and home and gift products your head will hardly touch your own pillow as you do the rounds of Saltex, Autumn Fair, Glee,  Four Oaks and the Landscape show  in September!

Of course if you are looking for farm and agricultural machinery, service and equipment, the LammaShow runs 16-17 January at Newark. More details here.

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 4,300 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 7 years to get that many views.

Agratech – not just for farmers!

Its always fascinating to search out our customers websites, blogs and twitter feeds, to see just what a diverse and varied client base we have, and today’s little look has been no exception, so here’s a quick round up of who’s caught my eye:

Firstly, I felt guilty about missing gym this morning when I looked up Hot Bikram Yoga – phew! You can check them out @hotbikramyoga

Next, I discovered we have a radio celebrity customer, @Kenthegardener who is resident gardening expert on BBC Essex and you can listen to Ken on iplayer via the links on his website Ken Crowther of Crowther Landscapes!!

Newburgh Engineering Ltd have a you tube channel but so far I haven’t tuned in, can hardly complain about Mr L’s endless viewing of Extreme Engineering if that’s my lunchtime viewing choice, but you can find the link through their website, and follow on twitter @newburgheng

Now I need my lunch as I have found a site about blue cheese made by Stichelton Dairy (@sticheltondairy), and we’ve added another English Wine maker to our customer list, this time it’s Tor View Wines. We won’t forget that one, as TorView is the name of our son’s school!

Finally a quick thank you to other new customers this week who include Busy Bee Gardening Services & South Cotswolds Lawns, and repeat customers including the Forestry Commission! We would also like to reiterate that we are aware of some glitches on the new website, and these are being addressed, so thanks for your patience and persistence!

And if you want a mention, remember to include your company website/email details in your order so I can have a nose into your Business!

Agratech – most definitely not just for farmers!

Skyfall’s the limit!

The James Bond Skyfall Premiere last night certainly looked a glamorous affair, all those stunning ladies in gorgeous gowns and handsome chaps in their tuxedo’s.
It was a Far Cry from the Agratech warehouse here, where jeans and (at this time of year) fleeces are the order of the day.
But, speaking of orders,  having supplied many items to this Bond Production, we can’t wait to see the movie, hoping to see a glimpse of our items on the silver screen!!!
Perhaps this weekend, Mr Bond?

Events and Happenings

Ok, I’ve started something there, so before anymore people ask me to ‘just mention their show’ – I am happy

to point you in this direction:

The Association of Shows and Agricultural Organisations website has a comprehensive list of the events taking place throughout the country, along with links to the relevant shows webpages and information, where you will find relevant information whether you want to enter a class, or just go along for a day out!

The link to that website is here

Just remember – cagoules, wellies, wooly hats and gloves (and that’s just for the summer shows!)  Have fun x
